Explored scheduling and task management for a cluster computing environment. Developed high-level design specs and requirements for a high-throughput, low-latency scheduler. Implemented several distributed computation routines, including N-Dimensional Tic-Tac-Toe minimax AI player, to exercise scheduling routine across significant computational requests. Generated documents exploring challenges to scheduling space, including proposals for candidate solutions and tradeoffs.

Software Engineer, working on software development through all phases of project lifecycle, from requirements through deployment and maintenance. Area of focus for development was high frequency direction finding (HFDF) systems, wherein signal analysis and direction finding/triangulation were automated. Automation pushed to handle analysis of candidate energy alerts at scale.Early work focused on wideband data channelization into narrowband data streams. This led to work on request management and routing logic, including revisiting system architectural design decisions with a goal of 10x scale-up in system throughput. As a system build lead, coordinated team of five developers in constructing new system features across multiple hardware platforms, including tunable wideband and narrowband receivers. As software technical lead, coordinated team of developers in requirements gathering, system design and implementation, testing, deployment, and training. System under development was HFDF network control, capable of automating management of next-generation HFDF systems. Project moved from prototype efforts (3 developers) to full-scale solution development (up to 18 developers) under my direction. Heavy focus on requirements elicitation and management, as sponsor desired project to be agile in responsiveness to uncertainty. Project considered by company to be flagship effort for CMMI certification effort.
