Members of this Board provide consultation to the Dean of the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy on educational, research, and fund raising programs.

I teach undergraduate pharmacy students a variety of topics in the physical pharmacy arena including chemical kinetics, solid dosage form design, drug release testing and it's relationship to the in vivo performance of solid dosage forms. I am also a member of the faculty for the Applied Drug Development Short Courses offered jointly by the University of Wisconsin Extension Services in Pharmacy and The Lenor Zeeh Pharmaceutical Experiment Station

This Board of Directors serves as an advisory body to the Executive Director and staff of the Lenor Zeeh Pharmaceutical Experimental Station at the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy. This laboratory offers preformulation and early formulation development services to start-up, emerging, and large pharmaceutical companies.

Offering Dosage Form Feasibility, Development Strategies and Management Expertise to Start-up, Emerging or Resource-limited Pharmaceutical Companies based on 30 years of experience in all aspects of dosage form design, beginning with lead selection to commercial production.

Led, as Scientific Director of CMC development , six programs, including NCE’s and line extension formulations for clinical and commercial application as part of the Global Project Teams.

Collaborated with other key leaders in the creation of harmonized processes to integrate the German, Japanese, and US based CMC and preclinical safety groups into global functions.Participated in the planning and execution of the phase out of the Hollywood, Florida R&D operation after the acquisition of KOS, the phase out of the Whippany, New Jersey and Queenborough, UK R&D operations after the acquisition of Knoll, and was a member of the Hospira spinoff R&D subteam.Participated in due diligence efforts supporting the planned acquisition of ALZA.Led the development of the CMC components of a long range strategic plan for Biologics R&D at Abbott and also to a long range strategic plan for the Global Preclinical Development organization.Led the creation of a comprehensive set of Performance Metrics and a reporting mechanism to support identification of possible efficiency improvements in Global Preclinical Development.Contributed program leadership for the development of an Integrated Quality System for the R&D organization and for construction of the associated Quality Manual. Led the development of a Global Preclinical Development Manual, an educational tool for employees, clients, and management, describing harmonized development strategies, activities and processes.Collaborated with Global Preclinical Development functional group directors in the creation of a Global Preclinical Development strategic technology/science plan and the development of detailed plans for key scientific initiatives.
