Reporting to Global General Manager, lead large distributed infrastructure teams including IT financial and asset management, global desktop management, global deskside support, and facility infrastructure support. Facility infrastructure includes server infrastructure (primarily Wintel, VMware, and blades), localized and SAN storage (Netapp and HP), site data centers, networking, and telecommunications (VOIP & legacy telecom) in both office and manufacturing environments.Project portfolio includes: VOIP migrations, network and fiber backbone redundancy and hardening, wireless mesh networking, IT financial analysis and reporting, Windows 7 migration, server virtualization, virtual desktops, desktop/laptop hardening and encryption, RFID, and tablets on the manufacturing floor.Frequent travel to all operating facilities, including US, Canada, and Slovakia plants.

Consistent travel overseas for staff development, goal setting, strategy planning and general face to face communication.Responsible for server infrastructure (Unix, Sun, Wintel, VMware, blades), storage (IBM, HP, NetApp, EMC), Storage Area Networks, data center (HVAC, fire suppression, security, etc), network monitoring, global Help Desk functions, incident/request systems, building operations (space planning, construction management, housekeeping, cafeteria, HVAC, utilities, generators, electrical, plumbing, etc).

 Reported to VP, IT – After leading IT integration for Unison Health Plan into the UnitedHealth Group environment, I was given several assignments as lead for IT integration for previous acquisitions. The first assignment was Great Lakes Health Plan in Detroit, MI. Upon completion, I was asked to lead the integration for John Deere Health Plan in Moline, IL.

Led IT Service Delivery for the nation's largest Medicaid HMO (Americhoice, by United Health Group) with nationwide operations spanning 25 states. Led several concurrent teams, including IT Infrastructure, Desktop Support, Application Support and Help Desk, supporting 25 states and the District of Columbia. Managed staff in 2 primary locations - Phoenix, AZ and Pittsburgh, PA.Brought into role through an acquisition of Unison Health Plan by Americhoice in June of 2008. Led IT portion (from acquired side) of all M&A activities.

Provide consulting services to community banks, focusing on IT Security. Review network security procedures and policies for financial institutions. Make recommendations designed to further secure the critical data that these companies protect.

Worked on a small team, operating as an LLC subsidiary providing IT security management and monitoring for a collection of other community banks.
