Supported senior management in the start-up of Valley Bank in the Des Moines metro area, including site selection, employee recruitment, and network introductions to the largest developers and builders in the metro area. Marketed products to the local building community subsequent to Wells Fargo's acquisition of Brenton Bank in January 2001, expanding operations to 100+ mortgage loan originators statewide. Marketed construction-lending programs to builders and customers in the state of Iowa. Facilitated the construction-lending process on construction to permanent mortgage products for 27 Brenton mortgage brokers. Oversaw the payout process of ongoing construction loans. Commercial Federal purchased AmerUsBank in 1998, with responsibilities continuing. Developed from conception a construction-lending program for AmerUsBank. Marketed lending program to local homebuilders, realtors and mortgage companies. Recruited 60+ homebuilders from other financial institutions. Cross-sold a wide variety of banking products to customers. Performed all building inspections on current projects prior to payout of loans. Managed a support staff of two. Rapidly grew loan volumes from $946K in 1992 to peak volume of $44M by 1997.
