Typical HR Generalist stuff...ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws & regulations; investigating & resolving associate complaints; execute HR initiatives at facility level; conduct new hire orientations, annual enrollment meetings, partner with BU Acquisition team to ensure adequate staffing (exempt & non exempt positions), partner with BU LRD to respond to agency charges, partner with BU Acquisition Team to draft facility Affirmative Action Plans & formulate goals to address areas of opportunity, creating and delivering ad-hoc & targeted training to frontline employees & management as needed. Administration of 2 different collective bargaining agreements (2 different unions in 2 different states), responsible for the scheduling, facilitation, & documentation of grievance meetings, drafting formal written grievance responses. Local HR point of contact for union business agents, responsible for responses to requests for info, & general communications with unions

Responsible for consistent facilitation and rollout of Company wide training & development programs across the assigned Business Unit market areas. Created training plans by position for each Sales Center in assigned market areas including supervisory and professional level positions. Successfully managed multiple BU HR initiatives to timely completion. Administered client call meetings with leadership throughout assigned market areas resulting in customized training calendars and solutions to meet each location’s needs.

Responsible for maintaining Merchandising Standards in the market areas served by the San Diego & Phoenix Sales Centers. Also responsible for: hiring and training of all Full and Part time Merchandisers, scheduling and vacation/holiday labor planning, editing and approval of payroll, and generation of weekly labor reports. During both the 5 month Southern California grocery strike, and CCE’s own 3 week labor dispute, coordinated a plan utilizing regular employees willing to cross picket lines with untrained temporary workers to maintain service levels with minimal complaints from customers. Co-founding member of San Diego Sales Center's Labor/Management Committee to facilitate discussion & resolution of employee concerns.
