With over 25 years of experience in user experience (UX) and design, I am passionate about applying practical innovation, digital transformation, and customer-centered design principles and techniques to solve complex problems and create value for large organizations and their users. As the Chief Design Officer at Optum Insight, a leading healthcare technology company, I oversee the design strategy, vision, and execution for our products and services, ensuring that they meet the needs and expectations of our diverse and evolving customers.Before joining Optum Insight in March 2023, I established and led the UX and Design Thinking practice at Change Healthcare, where I developed an award-winning learning and development program, an extensible and highly-usable design system, and a platform for customer engagement and feedback. Prior to that, I held design leadership roles at Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase, where I pioneered streamlined and simple user experiences across web and mobile platforms, and brought to market the first fully online checking account application and the first mobile check deposit solution. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with esteemed global brands such as Disney, Virgin, Sheraton & W Hotels, and the Mayo Clinic, among others.I am a forward-thinking and collaborative leader, who enjoys mentoring and empowering my teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful results.
