As Tech Manager of IRIS Digital Video Systems and The Security Center, Inc., I have many job responsibilities. I coordinate research and development of new products between IRIS and the engineers. I also do the quality control on hardware and software that is developed by R&D. I document the technical aspects of our equipment and interface with dealers and customers when there is a request for technical information and do support training classes upon request. Due to my range of skills, my other responsibilities include: inventory control of parts and finished goods; kitting of parts for assembly; purchasing and receiving of parts; evaluating new products for resale; tier 2 tech support; technical sales support for our sales teams; training new IRIS employees; RMA Manager; Tech Support leader, coordinating update requirements with engineers; laptop, workstation, and server administration; network, wireless, PBX (phone system), and Cisco VPN administration; Symantec Endpoint Protection and Symantec Backup Executive administration. I am an expert or proficient in Microsoft Windows (all versions), MS Office (all versions), QuickBooks, and all computer hardware.

I oversaw the day to day operations of MRA Technologies, which was a manufacturer of digital to analog converters to be used in the recording of digital telephone extensions, for security and archival purposes. These responsibilities include the hiring and training of production personnel, scheduling of electronics manufacturing and inventory, and the production, testing and shipping of finished goods. I was the project leader for new engineering efforts, and worked with contract engineers to develop new products and improve and lower costs on existing designs. I enjoyed moving an idea from conception to reality. During this time I learned PCB layout design and schematic editing, so that I could assist the design engineers, and became able to layout eight layered circuit boards, output and edit pick and place manufacturing data, and work with assembly houses to deliver and QC final products.

Installed and administrated private phone systems, including PBX and key-systems. I also did MACs (Moves, Adds, and Changes) of telephone extensions and CO Trunks. During that time I obtained Nortel (Option Series) and AT&T (Definity Series) PBX System Administrator certifications.
