Meet Rick Stringer, a man who has spent over four decades bringing creativity to life. In 2019, Rick set out to start his own venture, Rick Stringer Creative Services, LLC. Today, his company offers a range of services including FileMaker development, illustration, Macintosh and iOS support, and Creative Coaching. Rick's journey began in the early 90s when he joined Corbin Design as a production artist and illustrator. His expertise in technology and design soon led him to become the Technology Director and eventually, a Vice President of the firm. In 2020, Rick left Corbin Design to focus on his own business. Prior to that, he worked as a freelance illustrator in Los Angeles and Chicago and as a production artist in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Rick's passion for the arts started early on, with a major in theatre at Eastern Michigan University and later studying illustration at Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles, California. But his creativity doesn't just stop at design. Rick was also the producer of the Parsec Award-winning Variant Frequencies podcast, which he co-founded with Anne Stringer and Matt Wallace in January 2006. The monthly podcast featured original fiction and was widely celebrated for its gripping storytelling and impeccable production values. Rick is also the producer of the critically acclaimed podiobook, The Failed Cities Monologues by Matt Wallace. Although Variant Frequencies is no longer in production, you can still immerse yourself in all of the episodes on the website.Rick's talents go beyond just producing, as he's also lent his voice to several podcasts as a guest narrator. His impressive resume includes appearances on Pseudopod, Redline Theatre, Dead Hunt, Well Told Tales, Starship Sofa, and more.With almost 40 years of experience in the design industry, Rick Stringer is a creative force to be reckoned with.
