Director of software engineering for the Refrigeration and Dishwasher product lines and also for the embedded Service Tools group that supports our field service technicians. Former Director of Software for the Home Laundry and Water Heater product lines as well.

Lead the development of embedded software service tools for GE Appliances service. Also serve as scrum master for the service software team.

Responsibilities:- Lead 13 person global scrum (agile) software team in developing a new top load washer software platform.- Promoting the adoption of agile software methodologies at GE Appliance Park.- Creating motor and control classes for new Edison Engineers at GE Appliances.Previous responsibilities:- Developed advanced PMSM motor control algorithms for top of the line front and top load washers.- Worked with motor suppliers to specify appliance motors

Responsibilities:- Agile evangelist ... drive adoption/awareness inside and outside the software teams at GE Appliances.- Assist software groups as they ramp up new scrum teams or hit roadblocks.- Help tweak the agile/scrum process to play nicely with the existing processes at GE Appliances. Drive changes in the existing processes where needed.Successes:- Successfully launched two major appliance products as Scrum Master (laundry and cooking).- Each product launch had a global scrum team (US and Korea). Adapted the various scrum ceremonies to work for our global teams.

Responsibilities included:- Led development of software platform to drive new motor technologies including: PMSM and BLDC motors.- Develop Field-Oriented Control algorithm for AC Induction and PMSM motor control.- Designed advanced algorithms for front-load and top-load washing machines.- Worked with electronics team to tune inverter hardware platforms to maximize cost/performance balance.

Primary responsibilities included:- Developing motor control software platform- Designing high-level washer algorithms to detect load size and load unbalance.- Software documentation- Collaborating with stakeholders to capture and refine requirements.

Hardware and software design engineering for the fire industry. Developed embedded interfaces to fire panels allowing them to be networked and monitored from a PC.

Teaching assistant for Microcomputer Design class (ECE-516) under Dr. Cleaver with the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. Assisted students with embedded hardware/software projects, administered oral quizes on class material, and maintained lab.
