The daily routine is managing a CS team in the support of the on site Warehousing and Filling operations (administration, warehouse capacities, transport planning, production planning, stock keeping, complaints, in- & outbound planning and order management) at the Operational Site of De Rijke Warehousing & Filling. Additionally I am improving the operational processes in the CS, Site operations (Warehousing & Filling) and Supply Chains with simplicity, standardization and innovative (IT)-solutions.This can be specified as:- Managing and supporting the Customer Service team during the daily operational processes;- Managing the implementation of new- or improved (IT-)solutions;- Managing the Production-, Warehouse-, Capacity-, Transport- and Dockboard planning;- Integrating new customers into the on- and off site operational processes (including rates, business reviews & operational reviews)- Operational, tactical and strategical consultation and decision making;- Processing Operations- & Root Cause analyses and evaluating the outcomes with the various stakeholders;- Realizing the company policy within the internal and external Supply Chain of De Rijke;- Realizing the operational, policy, financial and personal objectives within the team.To summarize this in one sentence: Managing the daily operations related to orders, planning, stock and customer service and improving the processes with simplicity, standardization and IT-solutions.

During this period I was leading the Customer Service team of Veembedrijf De Rijke Botlek. The Customer Service team consists of 20 FTE (Customer Service Representatives, Customer Service Assistants & Front/Back Office employees) whom are working in various disciplines of the operations (Front Desk, FIlling, Warehousing and Back office). This team is the linking chain between the Customer, Operations, Business Partners and Stakeholders. This means that the tasks of the Customer Service are very broad: preparing, controlling and checking the on- and off site operations such as Administration, Documentation, Planning, Warehousing, Filling, Repacking, VAL- and VAS-activities. The tasks can be summarized to translating the wish of the customer to the operational processes of De Rijke. This means:- Leading and supporting the Customer Service team during the daily operational processes;- Operational and tactical consultation and decision making with the Management, Operational Supervisors and the Customer Service; - Processing Root Cause analyses and evaluating the outcomes with the various stakeholders;- Setting up improvement projects with various stakeholders to make the Supply Chain more efficient and/or effective during the operational processes- Integrating new customers into the on- and off site operational processes- Periodical progress and operational meetings with Customers, Business Partners and Stakeholders- Guaranteeing the Company values (Flexibility, Efficiency and Inventive) to the Supply Chain of De Rijke;- Realizing the company Customer Service policy within the Supply Chain of De Rijke;- Realizing the operational, policy, financial and personal objectives within the team;- Providing the management valuable information for their next move.

Being a Customer Service Representative means being flexible, straight to the point and versatile. Due to the various disciplines on site (Warehousing, Drumming, Repacking and Administration) I had to be broad based and have my view wide open. The job switches between:- Handling orders from A to Z;- Bringing forward customized Supply Chain Solutions;- Capacity Planning;- Production Planning;- Transport/Dock Planning;- Managing the inventory;- Winning new orders/business;- Resolving product/service problems;- Maintaining customer relations;- Managing the invoicing process.

During this period I was:Doing my thesis about the administrative processes within the Supply Chain of De Rijke. During this thesis I was analyzing the processes, finding the bottlenecks in the process, breaking the process down and building them up discarding the bottlenecks. This was a succes due achievements made in efficiency and the lessons learned during the internship.

During this period I was:- Making and maintaining KPIs for the management;- Making tools for multiple processes;- Inventory controlling;- Optimizing the invoicing process;- Managing a project with building materials for Industrial facilities.
