I composed, recorded and produced five albums in English by the name of Mist (www.mist-music.com). Since 2007, I also write in my Dutch mother tongue, as Rick Treffers (two Dutch albums and an EP). I released an album in Spanish with lyrics about Spanish culture and society as El Turista Optimista and in 2015 The Loop of Love by Mist was released, followed by Underwater, the last album under the name of Mist (out on Skipping Records). My music was used for film, TV programmes and internet series and I have played and composed for theatre plays too. I recorded and produced two albums by a female Spanish singer and songwriter UNA. In 2018, my first novel 'Ik wou dat ik jouw leven had' was published by Uitgeverij Vreugdenberg and in 2019, a travel guide in Dutch was published about the Spanish province of Castellón, for publishing company Edicola in The Netherlands. I am also writing articles for Por Favor Magazine, a magazine in Dutch about Spain. Show less

Spain

With my experience as a tour guide in The Netherlands and Valencia, tour manager for rock bands, entertainer, singer and connaisseur of Spanish culture, I started a job as a tour leader in September 2019, traveling with Dutch tourists in Spain (Madrid, Zaragoza, Valencia, Teruel, Albarracín, Cuenca) to begin with. The job seems to fit me perfectly.

Between 1996 and 2004, I was active as copywriter and journalist, mainly for Dutch music media and media on Spanish and Latin American culture. I published short stories in Wah-Wah, a literary magazine about music. In 2017 I started writing stories and columns for Por Favor, a Dutch glossy about Spain, published by Edicola Magazines. Intimate living room concerts at peoples' homes, formerly known as Live in the Living Room. I organized this in The Netherlands, Germany and Spain - in many different living rooms and for about ten years - and started it in October 2002 in my own living room in Amsterdam.
