UBER is a serious challenge to every one of our businesses and we need to stop them just like the South Florida Limousine Association stopped them in Miami. There has been talk of making our businesses subject to State Sales tax, we need to stop this before it becomes an issue.DOT has turned over enforcement to the Florida Highway Patrol and they are targeting vehicle which carry between 9-14 passengers.Employer related lawsuits are on the rise, overtime, wage & Hour and EOC challenges are the single largest threat to Florida companies we are working on developing a protocol to keep these challenges to a minimum.2) We are seeking to endorse on On Demand app (like UBER) which all of our members can use to bring in additional business and become a real alternate to the rogue on demand app that are stealing our business and our drivers.3) Create a Political Action Committee to support State Legislators who support our industry4) Develop an Affinity Program with suppliers to lock in deep discounts for Association Members. t5) Investigate the possibility of forming an Association Captive Insurance company which will save qualifying members a lot of money on their insurance expense.
