CurrentGeorgia Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame (GMVHOF)* Why: The GMVHOF exists only to Honor GA Veterans and to Educate GA Youth and Citizens about real Heroes.* Who:- GA Veteran Focused- Not in receipt of any gov. financial support - Non-Profit: IRS approved 501 (c) (3) - State of GA Recognized, Authorized & Approved * What:- A Veteran (alive or deceased) is one that possesses a DD Form 214 from the active or reserve component of the USA, USN, USAF, USMC or USCG.- A GA Veteran is one that was either Born in GA, or Entered the military in GA, or Lived in GA for ten years.- The Veteran may be nominated in one of the following categories: Valor - Heroic action in combat for which an award for heroism was awarded Achievement - Significant contribution to the well-being of the military while in service Service - Significant contribution to mankind after leaving the military* When: The GMVHOF Annual Induction Ceremony & Banquet is held each year in November. * Where: The GMVHOF is in the Floyd Veterans Mem. Bld. across the street from the GA Capital.* How: Nomination Packets can be accepted through the last Fri. in Aug. All packets are forwarded to an Independent Selection Committee for review and scoring. All packets are considered for up to three years. Donations are used only to honor Veterans and are tax deductible (IRS ID # 46-2025738).
