Williams worked as a management consultant with private and public clients. The cases lead by Mr. Williams generally concerned the business strategy and competition issues within a broad range of industries. While at ADL, he lead many of its large projects dealing with the economic and strategic impact of government regulation on US industry including chemicals, oil and gas, forest products and others. Mr. Williams' role often included facilitating the dialogue between the EPA, Energy and other regulators and the regulated industries enabling then to achieve feasible regulatory policies.He was quoted in the Wall Street Journal and other publications and the results of his work strongly influenced national regulatory policies and industry regulations.
