As a Business Control Partner I provide support and guidance to colleagues with in the product/channels arena. I manage and monitor risk issues, provide support in relation to the correct governance requirements and work with the business to ensure risks and issues are appropriate addressed and with in risk appetite. Ensuring I work to support the business and its digital progressions.

My current role with the RBS Group is an appointed positon of Financial Crime Analyst in the Corporate Banking Division. Through the AML guidance I provide, either to my front line colleagues or via the number of Project Working Groups I represent the division at, I ensure that we meet regulatory and RBS Group policy requirements. I am a first point of contact in regards to concerns or issues surrounding Politically Exposed Persons, providing guidance and assistance, while ensuring the customers experience is not affected. I provide support to my colleagues in relation to Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, and Money Service Businesses.

As a part of the Internal Controls & Risk Team, I supported the Risk Manager in a number of areas. I ensured that procedures were being adhered to, which was reflected in a number of tests that I monitor and complete. Assisted departments with action plans, monitoring them accordingly and amending/write new tests to reflect any new potential risk or procedure changes. I undertook any risk related exercises. I would also act as a deputy for the Risk Manager and become a central point of contact for referrals and escalations.

My position with in Loomis was as an Investigator. My duties included investigating any thefts, losses or shortages. I would liaise with customers, carrier companies, internal departments and if required the Police. I created reports for the Area Director/Centre Manager on my findings and recommendations.
