Structures and Dynamics of CLC Transporters- Designed a mutant to capture a new state of a CLC transporter that led to a new high-resolution structure and revealed unknown details of transport mechanism- Designed, produced, and performed quantitative assays (quality control) on > 100 labeled samples for NMR/EPR/FRET experiments- Pioneered a combined (H+/Cl-) ion transport assay with reduced noise and enabled direct measurement of coupling stoichiometry of transport- Designed a streamlined ion transport assay apparatus and protocol to achieve 2-4x increase in throughput- Initiated and designed a custom configuration of FPLC systems to achieve ~ 4x throughput
