Ensuring the environmental compliance of the plant onboard through diligent maintenance and continuous monitoring of operational parameters. Working closely with the engineering team to ensure transparency of the ongoing plant condition.

• Sole engineer charged with bringing an aged vessel up to reliable operational standards. • The aim to provide internal ploughing operations.• Developed maintenance schedules and ship specific operational checklists, adapting current company regulations to meet maritime legislation. • Sourced spares, equipment and tools to prevent downtime and reliance on shore side assistance.

• Carried out planned and reactive maintenance, individually and as part of a team supporting Towage and Pilot vessel crews. Supplying 24 hour cover as part of an on call rota.• Provided engineer cover on the Towage vessels during periods of illness, holidays and gaps in permanently crew employed.• Liaised with contractors during large projects and dry docks to ensure flow of information, and assisted with engineering work.

From cadet ship through to 3 years as 3rd engineer with 22 months experience on board.
