In this role, I am a hybrid between a consulting engineer and a technical marketing engineer. I this allows me to specialize in creating impactful content like demos, videos, blog posts, and white papers to effectively showcase complex technologies, as well as supporting pre-sales activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to highlight software capabilities and drive product quality improvements. This role requires a high level of managing priorities and deadlines, and quickly changing needs while advocating for customer requirements to enhance partner experiences and usability.

In this role it is my job to be the bridge between our technical team and our marketing team. I take highly technical concepts and turn them into consumable media in the form of software demonstrations, videos, blog posts, and technical presentations depending on the target audience. It is also my job to create, host, and manage demos created by myself and other colleagues on a public facing website. This website is many times our potential prospect's first interaction with our software, so it is a critical requirement of my job to ensure that this website and the demos on the site work at all times. Often times I am one of the first to use the software so that I can make video demonstrations and images of the software being used. Therefore it is also part of my job to test and verify that new bugs are not present.

As a Product Developer, I create new and engaging products to license to innovative companies. Several products created have included technology-infused sports equipment and mobile applications with many more innovative products to come.

Although my technical position says Electrical Engineer, in this role I bounced around to different engineering disciplines. - I hand-soldered and tested many proof of concept boards to ensure that the layout and design was correct and operated as expected. - I created test fixtures and various other components using SolidWorks - I produced drawings for our overseas manufacturers using SolidWorks - I have written Python programs to automate testing procedures and automatically log data from instruments that we use.-I developed and executed test procedures for products being launched to ensure that they meet minimum criteria-I have written Django code to help develop website features

In this role I worked to provide material that was to be viewed by the mass market, explaining how to use new and innovative products created by Microchip. This included traveling across the country teaching hands-on classes to professional engineers, hobbyists, and hackers. I additionally made tutorials on YouTube and various other sites. My position was a hybrid of an Applications Engineer and a Marketer. This challenged me to learn different topics on a very technical level so that I can talk to other engineers on a technical level if needed, but also be able to talk to less technical people on a higher level so that they can understand as well. Proteus Digital Health was a startup that developed the world's first ingestible sensor. In this role, I was exposed to various different aspects of software development. During my time there I developed Proteus’ first iOS watch application while applying agile software development practices to produce requirement driven, quality-assured code. Additionally, I was required to define functional requirements to verify that the software met predefined standards. I also created use cases to test the code in different scenarios. Throughout my entire time developing, I used version control tools to manage my software and also kept track of my progress through JIRA and Confluence. At the end of my internship, I presented the results of my internship to the company through a poster presentation and live demonstration.

Serves as a peer educator and helper in order to facilitate the personal and academicgrowth and development of residential students

My responsibilities as a NASA Space Grant Intern involved using robotics to build an artificially intelligent robot that had the ability to track a human football player in two dimensions in order to throw a football to that player as they run on the field. Throughout the duration of my time as a Space Grant Intern, I was required to draft a written Space Grant proposal to receive funding. Upon receiving funding, I developed a 3D model of the prototype to use as building blueprints using Autodesk Inventor. Additionally, I created a BOM cost breakdown based on the 3D model using Excel spreadsheets to ensure that I would not exceed budget limits. I designed a system to safely convert high voltage AC electricity into DC electricity. As I completed portions of the robot, I implemented weekly unit testing to monitor the robot’s throwing accuracy and tracking algorithms. At the end of my time as a NASA Space Grant Intern, I delivered a 15-minute technical talk on resulting research during the statewide NASA Symposium.

The New College Peer Mentor Program assists freshman students with the challenges they face transitioning from high school to college. The Program provides first year students with peer support, academic skill building workshops and campus resource information. Peer mentors are bridge builders between students, faculty and student service departments across campus. The primary goals of the peer mentoring program are to: help students succeed academically, establish a sense of belonging on campus, develop a supportive community and connect with faculty and staff outside of the classroom
