Joined the US Navy right after graduating at Willard High School, Willard, MO. Spent the next 10 years aboard the Ammunition ship USS Butte AE-27 out of Earle, New Jersey where I was fortunate to serve my country and to see the world. Made 7 Mediterranean Cruises and visited sights such as; The Rock Of Gibraltar, Leaning Tower Of Pisa, The Vatican, Roman Coliseum, Parthenon, The City of Venice, Eiffel Tower, and so many more. It was the greatest adventure of my life.My experience in the Navy and education at Missouri State University landed me my job at the James River Power Station, through City Utilities of Springfield, MO. I was employed there from May 1987 until September 2014 where I retired to pursue the music industry full time. I am now front man and solo artist for Rick Lamb and The Phin Addicts. Formerly The Cruize Control Band we have performed our tropical music and Jimmy Buffett Tribute show all across the country and I have also entertained as a solo artist, With visits to places such as Panama City Beach, Fl, Sheridan, WY, Minneapolis, MN, Des Moines, IA, Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, Kansas City, MO, Oklahoma City, OK, Sioux Falls, SD Gulf Shores, AL, Omaha, NE, Hattiesburg, MS, Key West, FL and several other cities across the US. with solo performances in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic as well. I have just completed a 20 day tour of Florida, Alabama and Mississippi where I performed at the famous MOTM Parrot Head Convention in Key West.
