Maltopi is a custom sports wear brand located in New ZealandWe specialise in providing custom sports team wear to all varieties of sports teams. This includes schools, clubs, ethnic teams and general social teams. I am the co-founder of Maltopi alongside my brother and we have built a large portfolio of teams with the list growing day by day. Our aim is to become the go to spot for sports teams in providing them with custom team wear. We do not just pick an alternative off the shelf and chuck a logo on, we work together with the team/school or club to ensure that their values are put across onto the uniforms

My role is to undertake internal projects set by the Finance department. Tasks have included working with JDE in order to streamline processes for Skope Industries Ltd. Working with excel is a significant part of my role, and manipulating data with excel to provide Finance department with important information which will help to make key decisions about the business. My role also included doing cost analysis for Skope Industries Limited and working with the manufacturing team to help improve manufacturing processes to enhance costing data.

I was a tutor for Pacific students for commerce related course as part of the Pasifika PASS Tutoring Programme. This has helped me enhance my teaching skills because I had to tutor the students about the content of their course so they would have a better understanding of their course going into their tests.

I was the President of the Accounting Society at the University of Canterbury from 2015-2017. This role involved me communicating with my executive team and various other people such as sponsors and college representatives. By communicating with these people my communication and leadership skills have improved greatly. Our executive team met once a week and my role as president let me learn the art of delegation as I realised that each person has their own strengths and to make sure the society ran smoothly; I would have to ensure the best person was doing each respective task. With this role, I have also learnt how to deal with conflicts and problems that have faced me while I have been in this role.
