Everyone told me I should be doing standup comedy but when I finally gave it a shot ... no one was laughing. I read books, attended workshops, bought online courses ... I just couldn't figure out how to bring my naturally funny self to the stage... I nearly quit.But I finally found my mentor and he was able to explain to me the fundamental reasons people laugh and the structures I could use to be successful on stage as a standup comic.When I wanted to transition to corporate speaking I encountered similar frustrations.
