In my 11 years at IBM as an Extranet Specialist, I was named by some colleagues as the "go-to" guy within our team, when it came to understanding the infrastructure. I was a key player with helping to resolve a variety of technical problem or issues. Specifically, I helped support a labyrinth of servers, networks, firewalls and applications allowing outside business partners to enter IBM internal via a global VPN. I loved it. I have experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Red Hat Linux, AIX, Sun/Oracle Solaris and Windows systems on POWER and Intel hardware. A strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking in a high availability datacenter environment. I had physical access via badge and fingerprint scan to highly secured 24x7 datacenters. SAN components including space allocation, switches and Fibre Channel. Other components I am familiar with are LDAP, kickstart, clustering, Cisco devices and more. I maintained a variety of diagrams and documents for multiple projects across multiple global client accounts.
