Ricky Hubbard is a 3rd generation native of Bluffton, South Carolina in which he still resides. A graduate of the class of 2000 at Hilton Head High School, and a member of the St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Okatie, SC. He began his career in the supply industry at Hughes Supply selling HVAC products before making a change into the pool and spa industry in the summer of 2003. As an employee at Year Round Pool, he learned the many aspects of pool construction and service, for both residential and commercial facilities. Over time Ricky found a passion to strive in an industry that he loved, so he began researching and learning new techniques to advance him in the growing industry. In August of 2006 he was employed by Aqua Blue Pools of Charleston for the service division. While in this position he learned about the operations and hydraulics within the local building codes for residential pools. In the winter of 2007 he was promoted to the Construction Manager for the Hilton Head division of Aqua Blue Pools. While running the construction operations, he began to study aquatic operation management with the National Swimming Pool Foundation.Ricky quickly made the change to become a Certified Pool Operator to further his career beyond building and managing constructions operations. In October 2008, Ricky opened Quality Pool Service in Bluffton, South Carolina. His company offered service, renovations, and repairs to both commercial and residential swimming pools in the area. In January 2009 he expanded his services to the Savannah, Ga. area. The company did so well that by the spring of 2012 he opened a branch in Charleston, SC to serve Greater Charleston and Kiawah Island. To this day Ricky remains the Proprietor at Quality Pool Service, and looks to expand his company’s services to large aquatic facilities and first class resorts. In the year of 2015 He plans to become a pool construction contractor which he is studying now.
