At the end of the day, my job involves people. People are complex, multifaceted, always changing, and incredibly fascinating. From an early age, I knew my calling was people. My passion has always been centered around making spaces welcoming and inclusive, so that everyone connected to those spaces felt the freedom to thrive and share their strengths to build up others. Whether it was mentoring kids as a high school student, or being a founding member of a club to fight abuse on my college campus, I always found myself devoted and giving back to the community.I consider myself lucky to be able to take my passion and turn it into my career. As a sociologist I have devoted the past 8 years of my professional career to helping companies or groups build a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
