This project aimed to secure smart grid devices with internet capabilities to better protect the network and find faulty devices. The system works by receiving information from field devices about their status to note if the device has been tampered with or is operating normally. It uses hadoop and other system data to prioritize threats, standard operation, and malfunctioning devices to allow us to send workers and other such personnel to handle the issues. My role is to lead the team, development of the front and back end, and to design the very foundation of the system. Technologies: Java spring, angular 5, mongo, Kafka, MMySQL, apigee, concourse.Lead Java Spring API Dev - 5 dev team - Web application that allows customers to file claims against the company for damage to property. The system consists of two angular web applications (one customer, one employee) and a java spring api to drive the data. The system connects to a number of internal systems, a vendor that handles the payments and called in reports, as well as a hadoop learning platform to score claims for auto denial and acceptance where possible. I was tasked with taking over leadership of the application and team to fix stability issues and rebuild systems to ready it for launch. System is now live to all customers. Lead Full Stack Developer - 4 dev team - A badging application used for taking attendance at meetings. conferences, and storm centers by having attendees scan their badge with a portable wireless HID scanner. The application allows for multiple users to scan attendees simultaneously and uses an active sync. The application supports offline use and will handle a bulk sync when a connection is obtained.
