Who doesn't love free lunch? I led the engineer teams building Grubhub's corporate product which allows companies and their employees to order food and have the company pick up the tab.The teams I managed built scalable microservices that handled payment processing, logistics, publishing updates about orders, and front-end tools that enabled our customers to onboard new employees and manage their accounts. I also led cross-functional initiatives that built new ordering experiences (catering, group orders) to delight our hungry corporate diners.

Built, launched, and grew a platform for job seekers and employers to meet each other discreetly.

I was tech lead for post-purchase recommendation algorithms and a member the NYC recommendations engineering team (via Hunch acquisition). Responsibilities included designing, testing, and deploying recommendation algorithms (leveraging Hunch taste graph, collaborative filtering) and building RESTful API endpoints for serving millions of recommendations. I love Scala and tolerate Hadoop.

Developed personalized emails product utilizing Hunch taste graph. Post-acquisition, I helped integrate Hunch technology into the eBay marketplaces stack.

Member of the hotel reviews engineering team. Developed algorithms for detecting and ranking commonly occurring topics in reviews. Hadoop-based implementation used to analyze millions of hotel reviews. Led project to integrate extracted topics with as a feature on Tripadvisor.com. Implemented complete server-side and client-side solution for displaying topics to users. Full-stack development on a JVM-based web app. Javascript, CSS experience.

Developed tools for proving security properties of programs running in cloud computing environments. Implemented x86 execution trace gathering and verification mechanism for Linux 2.6 kernel.

Developed dynamic program analysis algorithms for detection of race conditions and deadlocks in concurrent C and Java applications. Integrated algorithms into commercial analysis products.

Performed research as a member of verification group developing techniques combining test case generation, static analysis, and learning. Implemented prototype framework for feedback-based testing which leveraged learning to automatically generate test suites for Java applications.
