What happens if we invest in developing our people and they leave? What happens if we don't and they stay?These questions are the essence of what I do as a coach for financial advisors. Helping to go beyond the fundamentals, and uncover their ideal practice and what success means to them. The reality is that we cannot have the same business model for everyone, so make sure that you build something that you love.During my time in the investment world, I have been able to develop knowledge, experience, insight, as well as an understanding of the financial markets. As a financial advisor, I learned that development of personal relationships was equally as important as understanding capital market fluctuations. Being able to relate to your clients and listen to their needs, interpret what they are truly looking for, and helping by coming to them with an honest financial plan is very rewarding.As a Regional Advisor Consultant, I not only had to maintain those skills learned from advising, but also had to expand upon the foundation that I had established through my career. Being able to dig deeper into capital market conversations, to become more analytical for advisors developing models, and helping to be a business consultant to them has allowed me to become successful in my current role. Also, I have made a point to have strong presentation skills and continue to develop as a coach.
