Cryptologic Warfare Officer, Readiness Department Head, Legal Officer, & Aircrew Division Officer
I have held four positions in this Naval Command as outlined below:Cryptologic Warfare Officer - I review assembled intelligence data and present relevant findings to high level commands in the Western Hemisphere.Readiness Department Head - I restructured the leadership of my department and implemented a new methodology to obtain, track, and administer all documentation regarding military training, medical readiness, and security in-processing for my department of 50 Sailors. Command Legal Officer - I was requested to fill this position as we did not have a lawyer on staff (Judge Advocate General Officer) and as such, I provided assistance on legal, disciplinary, and ethical matters to our senior leadership. In addition, I handle all legal proceedings and investigations with the assistance from three team members. Aircrew Division Officer & Airborne Special Evaluator - I held this duty until June of 2022 and was the Senior Officer leading 28 sailors orchestrating our airborne reconnaissance missions, training personnel, increasing the expertise of aircrews, and completed 44 missions overseas.
Nuclear Submarine Officer
During the two years and nine months aboard this $2B nuclear powered submarine, I held numerous critical and highly visible positions. - I was our Commanding Officer's direct representative for the submarine's deployments and evaluations, ranking as the number three Division Officer from staff of 13 such officers, maintaining 100% readiness across three divisions of 29 subordinates.- I was selected by the Commanding Officer from ten other officers to take on the role of primary Officer of the Deck, which is a role that is normally reserved for a more senior officer. I was the leader of the watch section in matters related to ship's movements, maintenance at sea, ship handling, and meeting mission related objectives during the watch. - I advised the Commanding Officer on all aspects related to ship's operations and was his principal advisor on safety matters. In this role, I revamped the ship's Operational Safety Program, improving the crew's process for critical self-evaluation for improvement, after which we did not experience any safety mishaps.-I was selected to take on a more critical role as the Chemistry and Radiological Controls Manager (CRA) to lead in all matters in the second largest nuclear related evolution in the life of a nuclear-powered submarine, which only occurs once every ten years. I authored and implemented a comprehensive radiation monitoring exposure program for those personnel who were entering the ship's reactor compartment to remove radioactive media. I also monitored the offloading, documentation, and transfer of this material. - As the Chemistry Office, I created operational steps so that the primary chemistry water in the primary system coolant met strict conditions so that the aforementioned operation could be conducted and completed.
