I support Mark Gillis as Assistant Director of the Don Bosco Boys Camp. Primarily, my responsibilities are similar to the Advising Program at Liberty Harbor Academy, but entail leadership training of the Head Counselor and his team of Counselors, delegation and work ethic, advising in conflict management, Catholic culture, and the plethora of subjects that arise as one works with 60+ boys from ages 6 to 13.

In January 2014 Liberty Harbor Academy faced a setback that no group wants to deal with. Our President was diagnosed with cancer and had to take a leave of absence. Pending the results of chemotherapy, I have received the helm. While immediately short-staffed, we coordinated the coverage of all but two classes offered for the 2014 Spring Term and managed to maintain regular operations all the way through our first graduation ceremony, held on June 7th, 2014. We are blessed with a faculty and staff committed to the principles of classical liberal arts education, liberty, and personal growth and development. With their support and willingness to step up yet again, this term has been a success in spite of circumstances as opposed to a major crisis.

My position as Dean of Academic Affairs includes responsibility for the integrity of the academic programs, integration of our Spiral Education (TM) into every class, and overseeing our Student Advising program. I work with Dr. Julianne Cooper to expand faculty training and development at Liberty Harbor Academy as well as working to ensure the quality of education for our students. I also oversee the Liberty Harbor Prep faculty and director.
