Ric Peterson, FAIA, is a Partner at Suyama Peterson Deguchi, Seattle. Suyama Peterson Deguchi is the recipient of six American Institute of Architects (AIA) Honor Awards and won a 2009 Design Achievement Award in Architecture from Seattle Homes & Lifestyles Magazine. In January 2012 Seattle Metropolitan magazine named the Fauntleroy Residence one of Seattle’s Ten Greatest Homes. The firm is the subject of two books: 3 X 3: The Architecture of Suyama Peterson Deguchi (ORO Editions, 2008) and Suyama: A Complex Serenity (Marquand Books/University of Washington Press: 2011). Their work appears in numerous publications including Architectural Record, Western Interiors, Metropolitan Home and The New York Times.Ric is the recipient of a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architectural Science from Washington Sate University. He served on the King County Parks Citizen Advisory Board and was Chair of the AIA Housing Task Force. Ric was elected to The American Institute of Architects College of Fellows in 2013.
