Rida Niazi is an active member within UMSL's community integrating herself within its diverse environment while pursuing her bachelor's in social work. She has been accepted into the Pierre Laclede Honors College and aims to receive the high-earning certificate as well as the experience of a driven honors undergraduate. As a Deans list student for several semesters, she wants to continue her hard work through volunteer and leadership experience. Her role as the Vice President (2021-22) and President (2022-23) of Muslim Student Association and Triton Leader at UMSL help enhance her leadership skills and build her network. Through her volunteering opportunities from tutoring at Remington Traditional School to working at the ICNA Relief Food distribution center for the past five years, she has seen a clear need for social resources for youth and families within St. Louis. As for her future goals, she wants to curate safe spaces for the Muslim community through the actions and resources of a social worker. She wants to provide financial, legal, emotional, mental, and social help for the women and immigrants within her community. To achieve such ambitions, her educational pursuits are the first step and her experience as a Muslim woman from an immigrant family is the internal experience that calls for it.
