About Bobby Riddaway
I am a Director of HS Trustees Limited and an accredited Professional Trustee. I am currently the Chair of Trustees at a London based Lawyers Pension Scheme. I spent nearly 30 years in Investment Consulting before moving into full time Trustee roles at the start of 2023.I am passionate about the role Pension Schemes can play in the Climate emergency and am working on various initiatives in the industry to keep this on the agenda and find practical solutions for all sizes of pension Scheme. Also to keep this issue on the agenda as Trustees are facing many other governance challenges that take up time on their agendas. I hold the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing (which I studied and passed in 2022).In addition to my Actuarial and Investment background, I have a strong governance mindset, having spent many years designing, implementing and monitoring professional standards schemes to satisfy PIA, FCA, SMCR and Actuarial rules and codes.I also have a very strong technical background. At HSBC I built their first Asset Liability Model. At Hewitt I led the Liability Driven Investment Team, including setting up the first derivative contracts between investment banks and pension schemes. In my early career at CIS I established and led the Model Office Team at a time when computing was just being introduced into the insurance world. I have reignited these interests by taking up a project to build a full size R2D2 droid in my spare time. This involves learning skills such as programming, electronics, electrics, art and crafts, as well as 3D printing.I also love spending time with my young Labrador.
