Oversee and direct the financial matters of a $50m private homebuilding and development company. Ensure the availability of adequate finances to construct new homes, acquire and develop land, and improve operations. This is accomplished with strategic capital investments, working closely with various banks, and utilizing private investors when necessary.Additionally, my responsibilities extend past financing and accounting, as I also play an important role in hiring new employees, directing digital marketing efforts, and product development.

Working/helping to run my family's business has been a lifelong goal of mine. It is hard to give me a title since I have my hands in almost every aspect of the business. Although, my primary focus is finance, where I work directly with the VP of Finance, Frank Alcaraz, managing our construction loans and investor relationships. This experience relates and is building on top of my degree.Outside of finance, the majority of my time is spent in the field, as an assistant superintendent. This has been an excellent learning experience, and I hope to continue to improve my construction knowledge by managing the construction process from start to finish.

Worked as the subordinate to the Head of Land Acquisition, Ray Gamble, where I assisted in the purchase of land, forecasting, and the management of residential communities. The majority of my time was focused on a 155 lot (52 pre-existing) distressed community, which we successfully purchased under a strict time constraint (prior to a sheriff sale). I prepared extensively for township/municipality meetings, where we obtained variances to the original record plan, which created a positive NPV for this project. A few months after heading back to school, Wilkinson was already developing and selling homes, in this community. Other responsibilities included: competitor analysis (COMPS), market research, summarized zoning ordinances for specific townships, field observations, daily review of subdivision and architectural plans, and planned for future projects.

For two full summers, I oversaw a four man crew for Technivate Inc. I was responsible for the transportation/operation of heavy equipment, and managing laborers. Here I worked closely with project managers and superintendents by reviewing blueprints, and deciding my crews course of operation. This job required me to clearly communicate with my subordinates, maximize efficiency, and keep records of materials purchased, work completed (hours of labor), and machine hours used throughout the week for upper management.

I have devoted every summer, beginning after sixth grade, to doing a wide range of jobs for my family's businesses. I have done too many things to list, which is anything from landscaping, to farming, to completing punch-lists on million dollar homes. My grandfather, the CEO of these companies, moved me around very often, which taught me the ins and outs of many different aspects of the companies. This diverse set of summer jobs has shaped the foundation of my professional career, and is where I gained my strong work ethics and business knowledge.
