Provide IT solutions consulting, advice and decisions on anything related to information technology, hardware, software, online marketing practices/SEO, web design and development. Recently oversaw the migration of the company being a one location showroom and manufacturer to a multi-site/office structure with 2 production facilities, 1 showroom and a satellite office. This is a 20/hr per week contract based position.Some tasks include(d):-Overhaul 10+ year old EOL network hardware, and install new hardware at newly acquired sites-Create central server site with a multi-site-to-site VPN network-Implemented complete overhaul in ISP's, telecom/VoIP (EOL as well), cutting monthly costs in a fourth of what was being billed-Full multi-site PoE security systems with monitoring for production and to oversee CNC router tasks. -(ongoing) Design and develop updated web presence for not just William & Wesley Co., but it's subsidiaries. -Create network security policies and train on proper work and file collaboration and sharing -As CAD/CNC becomes more prevalent in custom furniture manufacturing, building and provisioning CAD based workstations and proper version control / file management for collaboration has become very important.

During my time at Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, I accomplished a vast majority of duties and helped save the company thousands of dollars by going above the call of duty and internship requirements. - Squashed bugs in the main website making it multi-browser compatible (even adding support for IE6). - Implemented necessary security features, such as a weekly backup, and many other plugins which created a more intuitive experience on their Joomla-based website. - Maintained and edited pages, content, SEO meta information, etc. - Integrated Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools to provide the company with a more analytic view of where traffic was coming from and going to which provided them with valuable detailed user interactions on the website.Going beyond the requirements:- Designed and developed the new mobile website interface using the Joomla core so future updates to the desktop site will seamlessly go toward the mobile site. - Utilizing my own server and resources, I designed and developed the new mobile version of the website which ended up saving the company thousands of dollars on a hire they were looking for to accomplish this. - Use of my own server resources created a staging environment and eliminated downtime and risk during development, and the final mobile site was implemented with no downtime. - This was only accomplished by taking the company's concerns with working directly on the website, and correctly so being that I was an intern, for a job that they were planning to hire professionally. Finally, I stayed past my allotted time so I could update the old documentation on the website and to train the next incoming intern.
