• My current research is focused on the synthesis and characterization of mucoadhesive and mucopenetrative nanoparticles that may be used as drug delivery vehicles to treat anterior segment diseases of the eye.• Presented research at 13 conferences (6 International and 7 Regional). • Completed courses such as Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, Interfacial Engineering, Biomedical Commercialization and Entrepreneurship, Collaborative Design in Controlled Release, and Nanotechnology in Chemical Engineering.

• Actively learned the therapeutic space and provided scientific and strategic support by establishing relationships with customers, generating MSL field assets, leading projects for the medical affairs and cross-functional teams, participating in dialogues with internal and external stakeholders, and actively contributing in patient value meetings, cycle meetings, and business plan meetings. Developed key competencies in elements of medical affairs, commercialization, compliance, drug development, and access & reimbursement. • Finalized and recommended key tactics to implement the optimal medical device for use with T-cell receptor (TCR)-based therapies, including an outline for a Canadian clinical validation study. Led internal and external discussions to establish the key selection criteria and conducted thorough literature research to identify the top choice, and presented the implementation plan to the cross-functional team. • Developed and presented the final strategy to senior leadership for minimal residual disease (MRD) testing in Multiple Myeloma (MM) to be incorporated into current clinical trials and generate Canadian real-world evidence, which provided early support to the team strategy as the FDA later approved MRD as a clinical trial endpoint in 2024.

• Critically evaluated over 100 start-up companies for investment opportunities by conducting thorough due diligence assessments.• Led the approval pitches within our team for start-ups to receive funding by our firm through my presentation on their investment risks, profit potential, and impact factors.• Became the team specialist for evaluating deep technology-based start-ups in the pharmaceutical and engineering industry.

• Conducted a collaboration in the UK to assess the efficacy of drug-loaded nanocarrier systems (micellular and microgels) in the form of eye drops for the treatment of anterior eye conditions• Leveraged new relationships built amongst international colleagues with diverse backgrounds (food sciences, chemistry, and polymer engineering) to create a secondary research initiative for developing novel biopolymers as synthetic analogs for native proteins.

• Developed and maintained market, trend analysis and forecasting reports for the ophthalmology portfolio.• Enabled effective execution of market access strategies by researching and defining competitor technology, landscape, and market segments to develop resources and decisions in key glaucoma and dry eye disease areas.• Created reports, visualizations, and dashboards for various pitch competitions (e.g., OBIO 2021, TELUS Innovation Challenge) and fundraising meetings with potential investors and KOLs.• Assisted with fundraising activities to raise pre-seed funding to generate CMC data, and GLP/GMP certified batches for performing Pre-IND work.

Developed and synthesized degradable, thermo-responsive nanogels via a novel self-assembly mechanism. Subsequently, the drug uptake, biological charge-switching properties and, release mechanism were studied for the microgels.

• Responsible for managing the refinery’s Leak Detection and Repair Program (LDAR) which aims to reduce fugitive emissions of volatile organic compounds from process equipment. Effectively communicated the results to the refinery’s leadership team and highlighted next steps required to meet regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. • Performed engineering calculations and developed simulations using Aspen HYSYS, Excel Uniformance, and other engineering software in support of various engineering projects that include modeling unit operations and pipe hydraulics.• Developed Line Designation Tables to verify flow characteristics (pressure, flow-rate, temperature, flowing material, viscosity, specific gravity, thermal insulation requirements, etc.,) for piping and equipment changes.
