My role involves acquiring, editing and successfully publishing an array of commercially successful non-fiction titles. I’ve acquired and commissioned books across various genres, such as memoirs, self-help, true crime, horror, mind-body-spirit and mythology. I have worked with several bestselling authors, and notable authors on my list include Vinod Kapri, Satyarth Nayak, Om Swami, IPS Vishwas Nangre Patil, Manohar Malgonkar, Ashdin Doctor, Chandrima Das and more. I also collaborate closely with multiple teams, notably sales and marketing, to optimize sales, visibility and publicity for the books on my list.Additionally, I am an integral part of the rights and licensing team. I actively generate revenue by overseeing the sales of Indian language rights across various territories and formats. I manage and negotiate sublicensing deals for Indian language rights for both frontlist and backlist titles, ensuring a wide availability of HCI-published titles in numerous Indian languages.
