Rifat Rahman has been been Called to the Bar of England and Wales as a "Barrister" on July 2017 by The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn. Soon after his Call to the Bar, he joined Mahbub & Company, a full set of chambers as an ‘Associate’ in September 2017. Prior to his Bar training, he obtained his Post Graduate Diploma (PgDL) in Legal Studies from City, University of London, UK, Master of Laws (LLM) from BPP University, UK and LLB (Hons) from London South Bank University, UK. Mr. Rahman’s dynamic career ranges from his specializations in corporate and commercial litigation, mergers & acquisition, financial and securities law, financial compliance, foreign investment, corporate and commercial affairs, immigration & asylum, etc. He is a young, energetic, and emerging legal professional.Rifat also works as a Lecturer at the Undergraduate Program of London College of Legal Studies (South), one of the leading legal education institutes in Bangladesh where he teaches international students of BPP University and University of London in Bangladesh.Rifat's major during his Bar Training were on Fraud and Financial Crime, and Company Law. During his LLM, he specialized in the Financial Regulation and Compliance under the supervision of Professor Barry Rider and Professor Stuart Bazely.Rifat is an Elected Member of the Bar Representation Committee of The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, UK. He is a Member of the Junior Members’ Committee and Social Mobility Sub-Committee and Represents the Hall in the Garden Committee.Note - Rifat do not have a practising certificate to practise as a Barrister in the jurisdiction of England and Wales.
