I have a background in news and features and can produce speedy, clean copy, as well as photographs and video if required. I'm particularly interested in women's rights, social affairs, human rights, Myanmar and wider SEA Asia, and interesting people anywhere in the world. I also write guidebooks for Fodor's and other publishers, usually on Prague but also recently on Budapest and hotels across the world. I worked on digital news projects for The Telegraph newspaper in London. Recent work includes the "Day in the Life of a care home"​ series exploring what life is really like inside Britain's bad care homes, setting up our WhatsApp politics service for the 2015 general election, and investigating the ongoing search for the missing MH370 plane. I was promoted to acting head of the award-winning digital team at Channel 4 News.

I worked on big cross-platform projects including our No Go Britain series, as well as our wider digital strategy. I also led on our social media channels. I was recently named in one of journalism.co.uk's top 50 female digital innovators in the world and was key to Channel 4 News' success in a number of other digital awards, from the Royal Television Society, Amnesty and the Online Media Awards.

I worked as a freelance journalist in Prague, contributing to the BBC, The Economist, The Independent and The Telegraph. I also wrote four chapters of the latest Fodor's guidebook to Prague and the surrounding area.

At the Czech Republic's only English-language newspaper, I was the magazine editor - commissioning and writing features across all kinds of topics, from Prague's drug epidemic and how to tackle it to the resurgence of Krtek, a communist cartoon character, in the digital age.

I wrote and produced daily and longer-term stories for the Channel 4 News website, including an in-depth investigation into civilian casualties in Afghanistan.

At Property Week, one of the UK's leading business magazines, I rose from reporter to deputy news editor. I broke major exclusives as the credit crunch took hold, including the closure of major high street bank branches, and won a number of awards.
