I worked as a technical lead of embedded software engineering for a product line of multi-megawatt solar inverters. My tasks included front-line customer support and direct contact with customers (internal and external) on pre-sales and after sales. I also worked in close contact with product management by defining the customer needs and converting them to technical requirements. I was a part of the group which plans the technical roadmap of the business unit. As a technical lead designers role, I led the software development of the product line. I steered a group of developers and performed the architecture and structural design of the firmware. Writing the new code and design features and changes by myself is not strange for me because I believe that ability to work hands-on is the best way to understand complex problems. My tasks included also defining and developing the software development processes. Together with the talented team, we had developed high-quality firmware platform for the product line of cutting-edge central inverters.The steering of research projects and participation of technical steering groups was on my responsibility. I worked for long-term technical research studies and short-term improvements for current products or technologies

I managed the software/firmware development of the PVS980 and worked as a technical lead designer of the inverter software. As a software lead, I converted the product requirements to technical requirements, defined the processes for software development, managed the project team of developers, prioritized the features, supported other design fields, supported sales and product management in terms of customer requirements and technical details, and supported with certifications.In addition, I steered several research projects. Part of the projects was internal and lead to the product, while some of the projects were university collaboration, where results were focused on technologies further in technology roadmap.

Embedded software engineering for solar inverters.Tasks:* Chief designer of the embedded software for PVS980.Includes architecture design, test design, implementation (with C/C++), schedule planning, prototyping, and technology feasibility studies. * R&D of the DC/AC converter grid current controller.Includes R&D of the new control algorithms and features (research, design and implementation with C/C++) of the grid converter.

I worked as a project manager in a multi-year project with a prominent annual budget. The project was developing power conversion unit for 10 kW Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC). I was also a researcher in the group which I was managing.My tasks were budgeting, project planning, monitoring of the progress and other normal project management tasks. In addition, as a doctoral candidate and a project manager, I presented the results for the stakeholders and represented the group in conferences. As a doctoral candidate, I gained experience from technical conferences of speaking large audiences with respective knowledge of the area.

I was a lecturer in the course called "Piirisuunnittelu" (Integrated circuit design). The course included the introduction of the programmable logic devices (from PAL to FPGA's), while the main focus was on the implementing the algorithms with VHDL and FPGA.The course was graded as Master's studies.

I worked as a technician in regional IT company. My tasks included technical support, sales, bidding, design and planning of the IT infrastructure for regional companies and private customers.
