After the fusion of Etera and Ilmarinen I continued to work in Work Ability Services –unit where I worked previously at Etera. My responsibilities as a pension handler was to make decisions concerning disability pensions and vocational rehabilitation.

I started as a trainee in Etera in a unit called Work Ability Services. That unit deals with applications for disability pensions for client companies, and actively promotes professional rehabilitation. The aim of the unit is to reduce the working capacity risks, extend the work ability time and enable the returning of the rehabilitated person back to work. As a trainee, I became fully acquainted with the unit's operations including well-being at work from the perspective of the pension insurance company. At the end of the six-month trainee period, I continued studying and worked part-time (60 %) as a pension handler. The pension handler’s job description includes preparing disability pension applications for medical work ability estimation, and thereafter making decisions for disability pension and vocational rehabilitation.

The main tasks of the insurance service advisor included customer service through the telephone, and through electronic channels. The main target of each customer contact was to form a good risk assessment; with the result, that a customer would be properly insured and aware of the risks related to incomplete insurances.

As an administrative manager in real estate services unit in Vantaa, I worked in close co-operation with the unit´s supervisors. I was responsible for managing the unit's administrative tasks, including the management of employment contracts, the arrangements required for new and expiring contracts, the calculation of wages according to a collective agreement, management of customer contracts, handling and checking invoices, billing, and internal reporting to various stakeholders. Internal reporting included factors influencing the profit, of which the most important was the follow-up of the employee performance indicators and the business profit. In addition, during the summer 2015, I was in charge of several customer service points and the properties’ key management.

As an administrative manager, my responsibilities were to handle a small real estate management unit's all administrative affairs. The operational management was led first by two, and later by three work supervisors. My responsibilities were the salary handling and maintaining the HR registers. I composed employment contracts and, if needed, helped with the recruitment. Practically, I took care of the issues concerning human resources so that supervisors could focus on the operational management. In addition, I was responsible for managing the client contracts, which included internal reporting, invoice processing and finalization of invoicing.

I strated working at Bauhaus as a summer job cashier, but soon I moved to work in the store’s main customer service point. Later on, I also worked as a substitute for the leading cashier. In that position my responsibilities were to check the cashiers’ accounts, make customer orders and to be responsible for the functioning of the customer and cashier services.
