DCAT takes in a XML file for each gadget and creates JSON output which the gadget consumes at runtime. - Was in charge of Release build which was created with Grunt. - Would run update scripts in NodeJS which would update authored data in DCAT tool for gadgets, this would be performed if product team missed something during their initial work. - Updated gadgets to support parametric authoring which basically allowed gadgets to be change on page refreshes depending on how many scenarios were authored-Worked on Pearson Schools version of eText application, primary the web app. The app digests ePub books with interactivity's while also adding functionality to the ePubs. - Maintained, enhanced, and prototyped new features for the front end web app which was build using Angular JS.- Setup & maintain AWS EC2 instance running Ubuntu Linux- Worked on Continuous Integration using Jenkins, picks up commits from development branch in Git as a build trigger then deploys it to development server which is run on AWS S3.- The Jenkins build uses bower and grunt, to pull in latest versions of dependencies and minify all the files in the project. - Use AWS CLI to sync AWS S3 buckets. - Set up Sonarqube instance - Set up NodeJs server to host Rest API running ExpressJs -
Software EngineerPearson Sep 2014 - Apr 2015London, GbWorked on SCO’s (Sharable Content Objects) and gadgets which are interactive building blocks within SCO’s. - Took the team lead to migrate a Java, Ant, Rhino, SVN product deployment build to Grunt, Node JS, Git.- Worked with Math team on configuring and integrating a MathML editor into the gadget project and configuring MathJax.- Participate in Agile SCRUM environment- Removed Mootools JS from project library which saved 48mb in memory usage- Wrote Shell Script which gets triggered by a cron job every other week for the PPE product deployment- Worked with product teams on enhancements for gadgets while giving outlook on difficulty, risks, and possible future ideas -
