Every note coming from my sitar resonates with its own story – a tale about love, pain and the sound of my father’s voice. He has been sort of guiding light in my life when I lost him at an early age – the source of hope and inspiration that keeps me going through the darkest hours. My name is Rijak and this is how I aim to mend broken souls through music and compassion.Eventually, I discovered that music had a transformative effect—a power to cure, console and unify. Under the influence of his love for sitar and unshakable concern for others, I made it a point converting my grief into something worthwhile. Psychology became my major course - a field aimed at unraveling human mind intricacies as well as helping them deal with silent anguish.Through my studies, I became acutely aware of the pervasive stigma surrounding mental health—a stigma that silences the voices of those in need and perpetuates a cycle of suffering. Determined to challenge this stigma, I sought to create a safe space where individuals could openly express their emotions without fear of judgment or shame. I work with team Kaayam to make it a better place for the mentally challenged.Through my work in psychology and my passion for music, I strive to carry forth the message of compassion and understanding. In a world plagued by pain and uncertainty, I believe that it is through acts of kindness and moments of shared humanity that we can truly make a difference.
