As a Principal Consultant I divide my efforts over 3 types of activities:1) Advisory assignments: I support and supervise quality and testing projects (e.g. end-to-end testing). I organize the quality engineering and testing organization for various organizations and advise program and project boards.I coach professionals to improve their quality engineering, reviewing and testing skills using various approaches (e.g. Exploratory Testing) and techniques. Assess the status of the organization (using the Agile Quality Improvement framework or TPI NEXT), set a target for improvement and collaborate towards that goal.2) R&D at SogetiLabs (see showcase page at https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/sogetilabs/ ):I investigate trends in IT. I often speak at international conferences (see examples below). In March 2020 we published the TMAP book "Quality for DevOps teams", a book about quality engineering & testing for IT delivery by high-performance cross-functional teams. It is part of the TMAP body of knowledge. I am an author of "Testing in the digital age; AI makes the difference" (2018), the PointZERO vision and Quality Supervision (2012) and TestGrip (about test policy and organization, 2007). I contributed to over 20 books, e.g. The waves of Agile (2021), Four decacdes of information technology & innovation (2021), The little book of testing wisdom (2017), etc. etc.3) Training: I create and deliver courses and workshops on quality engineering and testing. I am an accredited trainer for TMAP, TPI and ISTQB certifications. And I also create special workshops and courses on request.Quality Engineering and testing is not only my profession at Sogeti, it's also my hobby. I spend quite some time on voluntary activities: - honorary member of TestNet (after being boardmember for 9 years, of which 5 years chair). - involved in the workgroups of ISTQB and have contributed to many syllabi. (and have been boardmember of BNTQB for 6 years)- programme committee chairman for conferences, e.g. EuroSTAR (2020), Testing United (2019)Many people like my talks at international conferences, e.g. at Testing Summit 2023, EuroSTAR 2022-2021-2020-2019-2018-2017-2016-2015-2011, Test:Fest 2022-2019, Scottish Testing Group 2021, A4Q conference 2021, Test & Quality Summit 2020, TestNet 2020-2019, Testing United 2020, Testing Portugal 2019, Expo:QA 2022 & 2019, QA&Test 2018, Agile Testing Days 2017, and numerous other conferences.In 2022 I received the ISTQB Software Testing Excellence award.In 2023 I received the EuroSTAR Testing Excellence award.

The systems had to be tested end-to-end. My role was to supervise testing of this end-to-end chain and to advice the responsible stakeholders on status and possible actions.
