The concept of Wakeland arose from the need to obtain life in the nightspot among the youth in the village of Baexem. The idea was to periodically organize an event where the youth could return over and over again.The first edition was a great success among the local population. After this we decided to create a compact "Seasons" concept in the future. This means that 4 times a year a dance event is organized in the cultural centre Baexheimerhof.The approach of the 'Seasons' concept is to give regional DJs a chance to show themselves to a wider audience and to spread awareness of the name Wakeland word-of-mouth.The drive behind Wakeland has always been to organize a complete as possible evening. This means that light, sound, show and perception herein are given the highest priority.From 2013 till 2015 my contribution to this concept was learning about managing the artists-handling, media & marketing, stage management and being the point of contact for guests, venue's and companies.
