As a teenager, I was the kid others approached about issues with their phone or laptop. I was the go-to guy for fixing and resolving any technical problems. Also I still remember sitting in front of that Pentium III desktop with a CRT display going through QBasic tutorials, making it print “Hello, Rikesh” for the very first time. This passion carried me through my education at Kathmandu University. Here I had more resources accessible to me than I ever could imagine as a kid. I studied new languages, algorithms, more advanced mathematics, compilers, all with pretty much the same zeal that drove me as a kid. As it was here that I realized truly how much there was yet to learn. Today, not much has changed. I’m still the first point of call for technical issues. The difference is I now also devote most of my time and try to create a career out of it. As I am working as a Software(DevOps) Engineer now, I am doing my best to cope up with this industry as this has been my passion ever since I was a kid. There's certainly yet more to learn, yet more problems to solve, and yet more to build. And for this, I'm very grateful.In my recreational time, I volunteer with an organization called Lions(Leo) Clubs International, which aims to help young people grow as an individual and as a leader to join a global family of young people making the world a better place. Also, I'm obsessed with staying organized and making everyone's life easier. It brings genuine joy to my heart to take the burden off of my loved ones' shoulders, and I always do anything I can to enhance that.
