I provide an on-site maintenance and troubleshooting service on behalf of this software manufacturer. It is necessary to travel to locations across London in order to provide support for software installation and configuration. I also troubleshoot user/ hardware based issues and implement improvements in order to optimise client networks. My communication abilities and professional approach allow me to rapidly integrate into different environments, identify the source of the problem and develop a solution.

Working as an external consultant, I helped this small start-up with their internal IT and support until they relocated outside of London. I supported their CRM database and windows server/client setup as well as their printers, software, firewalls and remote access. I assisted them with office moves.

In this highly demanding position, I was responsible for the maintenance of the entire network, providing the desktop support and network security necessary to allow the company to conduct its business. I worked with Microsoft Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP SP2 (and all legacy Microsoft OS’s – NT etc.), Fedora 4, Active Directory, Red Hat 8, Microsoft Exchange on a Domain setup, troubleshooting network problems and managing user accounts. In addition to the installation of anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware packages, I implemented research and sourced new technology, in order to continue to improve the network and also implemented in-house training programmes. As the Project Manager, I was frequently required to adapt to new challenges within the business, using my organisational abilities to meet deadlines and fulfil contractual obligations.

This role enabled me to use my communication skills and methodical approach to provide telephone support and sales advice to a wide customer base, sometimes with limited technical understanding. A good knowledge of specific equipment, combined with a solid understanding of systems in general was required and I was able to quickly resolve customers problems.

After starting my employment as a warehouse assistant (initially as unpaid work experience), I was rapidly promoted to the position of Label Manager. In this client-based role, I managed a number of online retail shops, developing and launching marketing strategies, campaigns and promotions. Good team working skills and the ability to develop client relationships were required, in addition to maintaining high levels of customer care.My organisational abilities meant, that when the warehouse was suffering difficulties, I was asked to take overall control as the Stock Manager. I supervised the warehouse staff, took responsibility for the fulfilment of all online orders, prioritised workloads and ensured that deadlines were met. The role also required strong communication skills, coordinating with different departments and contractors to arrange deliveries, order stock and respond to returns. In addition, I planned and implemented a program of reorganisation throughout the warehouse, to maximise storage space and improve the work flow.After completing my objectives, I was moved to the position of Catalogue Manager. The added responsibility of this role required me to use my IT understanding to manage the database integrity, performing data analysis and stock control in order to manage large contracts.Additionally, throughout my employment, I was responsible for ordering all consumables and for the implementation of the company health and safety procedures.
