Site joiner at j.d roach builders LTD - Whitby north Yorkshire • Aligned and squared frames and forms for installation • Installed drywall, ceilings, trim and fabricated replacement trim and mouldings. • Built and hung custom doors and frames • Installed interior finish items, including wall protection, doors and hardware, toilet accessories, cubicle curtain tracks and TV brackets • Followed established job site safety regulations and maintained a safe and clean working area • Operated electric cordless and hammer drills and cutting torches • Planned and executed work with the proper tools to maximise efficiency • Developed proficiency in stain-grade trim work, hanging doors and drilling and setting door hardware • Repaired roofs and flooring and remodelled bathrooms and kitchens. • Monitored tool and equipment condition and arranged for repairs when needed • Effectively used all fasteners such as nails, screws, pneumatic nailing systems, concrete anchors, powder actuated fasteners and frame connectors. • Cut and installed insulation for residential and commercial buildings. • Installed and worked with bathroom panels and plastic ceiling panels trims and coverings. • Competent in using all power tools including stihl saws and hilti tools.

Enduring long working hours which includes both team work and various independent skills. I am a competent and a punctual worker that always completes each job to the best of my ability. As well as completing my NVQ level 2 and NVQ level 3 site joinery at distinction level I have a good understanding of PUWER and COSSH due to working under the regulations on a day to day basis. I work well independently and around other people and enjoy participating in jobs and tasks that challenge me.

Whitchfarm

• Banking the crane which involved me using hand signals and a radio to move objects about the site. Crates, cabins, containers, drill pipes and casings.• Working with different sized drill pipes which varied from 5 ½ DP 5 ½ HWDP down to 5”, 3 ½”, 2 7/8”, most common size I used was 5 ½ and 5” pipes.• Rig tongs to make up the drill pipe and brake out any connection.• Helping out the derrickman, this included me mixing various chemicals, working in the shaker to spot any sudden increase or decrease in fluid that I would then address to the driller.• Helping out the roughneck on the rig floor to put rig tongs around the DP and numbering the DP that is in the hole to understand how many are there.• Carrying tools and equipment from place to place.• Black bagging, ensuring that the area was safe and obstacle free for the crew to manoeuvre and work around safely.• Working with different size casings, usually 40-42ft long in length and 13 3/8, 10 ¾ and 9 5/8. • Using rabbits to make sure that there is no blockages in the casings at any time.• Using dog collars to Hold the pipe firmly in position to prevent form slipping or sudden movement.
