Software Developer in the KIE team.Tasks vary, but the main task has been the work I do on the KIE workbench tooling. The name of the workbench has changed from Guvnor to KIE Workbench. The project is free to use under ASL 2.0.

I had my own company and even an employee at one point, but basically this was a company that I used to work as a freelancer.I worked as a team lead to on my own company and at customer. Went on sales calls as a technical assistant and lead.The main tasks where made out of consulting, team leading and different type of C#/HTML/CSS .net web applications and Java desktop and server applications.

I had previously done work on the Drools Verifier project, back then I was sponsored to do the work. Now Red Hat wanted me to continue the work. I did 2-3 days a week while finishing up my studies.

Designed and implemented a reservation system for different types of assets: books, persons, spaces. Designed and implemented a CMS. Also did few web stores of different types. Customized to the customer needs.

Hermia hired students to do Open Source. This was done in a similar manner as Google Summer of Code, however in this case the students had to find an Open Source project to work on and present that to the team formed by the sponsors.I wanted something that would "up the game" and give me more challenges. After a while I found the JBoss Drools project and the lead Mark Proctor proposed I'll do a rule verifier for DRL. This verifier would be a code analysis tool for finding bugs, redundancy and logical incorrectness from the Drools rule language project source codes.

Maintained an existing CRM product and designed and implemented an invoicing module for the CRM.Work was independent at an office with senior developers from who to ask guidance.Used technologies were Java, Spring and J2EE.

Implemented and designed a smart home automation system that controlled lights, temperatures and humidity in the houses where the hardware system was installed.System was made with Java and consisted of a server side backend that kept an eye on the censors 24/7 and of a client side Java Swing application that allowed the user to create blueprints of houses and manage constraints set for the widgets located in the property. The backend had a simple rule engine and guided editor for setting up the engine rules.The project was a great learning experience. The team consisted of me and mr. Teemu Turkia. We pretty much got free hands to do the implementation how ever we wanted. This wasn't necessary the best idea since we were two second year students who just knew the basics, but we had the right mindset for the job learned everything that was needed during the job.
