I moved to this role on my own request. I worked on business intelligence dashboards inside Looker, leveraging Snowflake as a data warehouse.

Amsterdam

• Spread over periodic hiring-heavy periods, I led the hiring of 12 full-stack developers (6 senior, 4 medior, 2 junior). Responsibilities & activities:
• Wrote vacancies for different target groups (senior, junior/medior).
• Established templates and a team of developer & HR colleagues for the interviewing, testing & hiring process, including “trials” in which candidates worked alongside us for 2 days.
• Sourced hundreds of candidates; organised dozens of interviews & trials.

I held this role in our “Alignment circle”, Springest’s executive team. From 2015 on, every quarter I consulted on company-wide OKRs & long-term strategy, primarily representing our Product team.

I led the “Product circle”, our product & tech department. On average it consisted of 8 to 10 full-stack developers and 3 product managers (myself included).In 2018 I talked about "Self-organising product development at Springest with Holacracy" at the Codemotion Amsterdam tech conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjCxuK6Ypc0Springest was acquired.

I built & maintained our company-wide KPI dashboard: a Google sheet with various integrations, automations via scripting, and the functionality of allowing any team or colleague to upkeep the metrics they owned in a foolproof and distributed manner.("KPI Quality" was an internal name. Basically: Business Intelligence dashboarding & visualization.)

• I led 200+ projects to improve our platform and services. This included our public marketplaces, partners like intermediair.nl; and our Learning Management Systems for organisations like Aegon, NS, Eneco, BAM, T-Mobile.
• 2013-2022: owned the user-facing side of the public marketplace websites springest.nl/de/co.uk: search engine, SEO optimization, conversion rate, microcopy, analytics (GA, Mixpanel), email automation, and more. In.
• 2014-2015: built an internal AB-testing application leveraging event tracking from our main application to pull raw test data from Mixpanel’s Data API into a Google sheet, also auto-generating statistically responsible.
• 2016-2017: built our internal customer support tool "Scoutest" (Ruby on Rails, full-stack) used by 10+ colleagues daily. Started on a hackday, continued 2 years on the side. Eventually the Product team took over to.
• 2019-2020: led development of Springest Certified, automating employee compliance for key customer BAM (NL’s largest construction company), at the scale of ~10K employees and ~100K certificates.
• 2019-2020: co-architected Springest Careers: auto-generating personalised course recommendations, leveraging TextKernel's profession API & our subject architecture.

As Springest was a 3 year old startup with just ~10 employees, things were less defined. My work involved projects around website & email microcopy optimization, traffic analysis, and testing software improvements. This evolved into my more formal Product Manager role.

Side project. A genre-based concert platform. It listed concerts in your city for bands of a specific music genre. Bands themselves could submit concerts, but its core was a daily data fetch from LastFM’s API. Users received email alerts for new concerts. Solo project: I did all the design, coding (full-stack, Ruby on Rails), and marketing. Launched in.

Barcelona Area, Spain

• With a team of 4, we launched softonic.nl, a Dutch content site with reviews & download options for consumer software programs. The platform already had sites in eight other languages. Eventually I had 850+.
• Testing and reviewing software for Windows, Mac and mobile platforms.
