The IMT PSC actively participates in TR’s adoption of standards set forth by FEMA through the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The PSC collects, evaluates, processes, and disseminates information. It is also the PSC’s role to supervise members of the Planning Section. Primary roles and responsibilities include:• Collecting and processing situation information about the incident• Supervising preparation of the Incident Action Plan (IAP)• Providing input in preparing the IAP to the IC and Operations Section Chief (OSC).• Reassigning out-of-service personnel already on-site to the ICS organizational positions as appropriate• Establishing information requirements for Planning Section units (e.g., Resources, Situation Units)• Establishing reporting schedules for Planning Section units (e.g., Resources, Situation Units)• Determining the need for any specialized resources in support of the incident
